Chef Point Cafe, Haltom City, TX “Pop In”- An Unusual Place with Great Flair!

by FFN on May 1, 2010

This week I ate at the most unusual place, a gourmet restaurant in a gas station convenience store, see video below.

I was with work friends the other day and they asked me had I been in this place like I was a goof to have never been. And now I see why, the food was out of this world! Apparently he is world famous, been on the Food Network, CNN,Paula Deen, (I’ll add his website). So like a friend always told me NEVER judge a book by it’s cover and this is why I agree, below is two of the yummy dishes he served us, we were not given a menu as he knew my friends and wanted to design our dishes seperately. I had Seafood Stuffed Chicken with a lobster cream sauce on fetuccine, (I still shudder at the lusciousness). I understand if you are not there by 9:30 a.m. on Mothers Day you cannot get a seat for hours. And don’t forget to order the bread pudding, you’ll thank me later!

Definately worth a visit, try not to pass it because it looks like a convenience store, because that would be truly passing up a true treasure of a feast! Delish! More on Chef Point: ChefPointCafe
