Peg

Passionate Foodie who loves to create! It all started when as the oldest girl of a single mom I was forced to make appetizing foods for my brother and sisters out of Campbell’s soup. I came up with quite a few! From the necessity of buying the clothes I wanted rather than the clothes my single parentage could afford, I started working in concession and fast food management. As she remarried and we migrated towards Texas, I got back into working for a large Texas fast food chain that was also a distributor. From there I got to here and this is my basic resume; 5 years in Food Distribution, 9 years as a Food Broker, 18 plus years in Manufacturing for various food companies, between layoffs in the industry I have waited many a table and bar tended many a cocktail. I have worn many hats, cook, bottle washer, pseudo chef, sales manager, marketing, recipe development and newsletter editor to name but a few. I don’t claim to know everything but I know a lot of people who might. Hope you enjoy my work!

My interest in food and wine has come from a variety of experiences. From learning to cook from my grandmother, to  traveling the world and experiencing many cuisines. I love to try new recipes, fit those recipes from a healthy lifestyle, and experience fresh and tasty foods. I have many other interests that have also added to my passion for food. One of these was many years doing organic gardening and learning the art of canning and preserving. I look forward to sharing ideas about great food, good wine, and healthy alternatives.

Peg I want to give or leave some recipes but i'm confused on how to log-in. Do I make an account because I am already a member of facebook and twitter.
